is the Literacy instructor at the Hartford Job Corps Center. She has a bachelor’s degree in English and a master’s degree in theater. Previously, Mary taught English and theater in a variety of settings, including high schools and community college. Mary incorporates her love of reading into the classroom by amassing a wide variety of books and genres for students to enjoy. She also institutes a quiet, “free reading” segment during class, when students read a book of their choice. Mary loves working with students and watching them grow and succeed. In her spare time, she relaxes by knitting and crocheting beautiful gifts for people.
