Her 14 years of experience in the food service industry and being a ServSafe instructor and proctor allows her to train her students with fervor in this field. Karen enjoys teaching employability skills and helping her students to follow their passion and dreams. She loves the idea of returning something back to the program that helped her grow as an individual and a professional.

is a test administrator and scheduler at Laredo Job Corps Center. He started this position after graduating from the Laredo Job Corps Academic program and serving in the Recreation department. He earned a bachelor’s degree in accounting.

Throughout his nearly 15-year teaching career, Arturo has taught science, social studies and math in a regular and special education setting. is a Math instructor at Joliet Job Corps Center and has over 20 years of teaching experience in math and physics. He received his Bachelor of Science degree in physics at the University of Illinois at Chicago and a master’s degree in adult education at Capella University. Carl enjoys teaching different ways to showcase similar math algorithms for the same concept, and seeing students develop their own algorithms. 

is a Reading instructor at Joliet Job Corps Center and has over 12 years of teaching experience in reading and English. She received her Bachelor of Arts degree in speech communication from Eastern Illinois University and her master’s degree in education from National Louis University. Kamesa enjoys seeing the “Aha!” moment when a student understands a new concept or makes their own connections to a concept.
