He has over 30 years of experience as an electrician, as well as previous experience working as a foreman and general foreman for construction companies. He finds great satisfaction in teaching young people and helping prepare them for successful careers as electricians.

is one of few San Jose Job Corps Center employees who worked at the original center in downtown San Jose, when he started as a math instructor in 1993. So far, he has taught classes in every academic subject offered at the San Jose Job Corps Center and has always enjoyed assisting students in obtaining their high school diploma or equivalency. Before coming to Job Corps, Denis spent over 20 years working in the theater business in the Bay Area.

is a Test of Adult Basic Education testing administrator at San Jose Job Corps Center. Nga enjoys the kindness, support and learning opportunities at Job Corps. 

is a Driver’s Education instructor at San Jose Job Corps Center. He brings over five years of experience as a driver’s education instructor. Joseph started as a resident assistant at Job Corps, and prior to that, he obtained his driving instructor credential from the DMV and has been a driving instructor for over five years. Joseph graduated with a physical education degree and worked as a physical education teacher in different schools for almost 25 years.

is a Literacy B instructor with Sacramento Job Corps Center. William has a Bachelor of Arts degree in English, with a focus on British literature and a specialty in expository writing. He previously taught public high school English classes and has nearly 10 years of experience teaching at Job Corps. William also has worked as a paralegal for an education attorney. He most enjoys helping students develop a sense of confidence and seeing them succeed.

is approaching her 20th year of teaching Social Studies and Digital Arts at Sacramento Job Corps Center with the School for Integrated Academics and Technologies. She believes in the success of her students and holds everyone accountable for their own actions. Nanette loves hiking and baking gingerbread cookies.

Her professional background includes working in various educational settings, training students in academic and career development areas. started working as a Plastering instructor working with Sacramento Job Corps Center in 2017. Prior to his employment at Job Corps, Andy spent 18 years working as a plasterer and fireproof applicator. He is a third-generation plasterer and second-generation Plastering instructor at Sacramento Job Corps Center. He believes the best part of his job is preparing young individuals for rewarding careers, providing knowledge to trainees and allowing them to explore the industry with the confidence that they built here at Job Corps.

is a Cement Masonry instructor at Sacramento Job Corps Center. Leaving New Orleans after Hurricane Katrina, Nathaniel didn’t know what was in store for him as a California union cement mason instructor 12 years ago. He fell in love with this industry at a very young age and learned throughout the ups and downs of his career that the most rewarding honor is being able to guide youth toward cement masonry placement. 

Numeracy instructor, has worked at Sacramento Job Corps Center since 2014. Born and raised in the Bay Area, Melchor completed higher education in his home town and graduated from Chabot College in Hayward in 1984 with an Associate of Arts degree in machine tool with a minor in math. In the fall of 1999, he started his teaching career primarily at the elementary school level in Oakland. As Melchor’s career progressed, he gravitated to older students. His most recent teaching position was teaching science for a middle school in Placerville.
