is a lifelong member of the Painters’ Union. He progressed in his career by completing the union apprenticeship program, and now, he is able to impart this knowledge on his students as a full-time Painting instructor at Hawaii Job Corps Center. 

is a Culinary Arts instructor with Hawaii Job Corps. Prior to joining the program he was the catering sales manager at Waikiki Beach Marriott Resort & Spa, previously known as Hawaiian Regent Hotel, and he has a bachelor’s degree in business. When he isn’t working, Bob enjoys fishing on his kayak.

is a Building Construction Technology instructor with Hawaii Job Corps. Lonnie has extensive experience working in and with painters and carpenters unions. He has a passion for helping students, and in his free time, loves playing the guitar.

is a Manufacturing instructor at Hartford Job Corps Center. Prior to joining Hartford Job Corps, she worked at a major insurance company in human resources, professional development and education.

has been a full-time Manufacturing instructor at Hartford Job Corps Center since 2017. He has extensive knowledge from working at Pratt & Whitney for more than 45 years and from serving as a combat engineer in the Army. After seven years of retirement, James decided to go into teaching, where he can use his skills and years of knowledge to shape the future generations of machinists and engineers.

is a full-time Clinical Medical Assistant instructor at Hartford Job Corps Center. Her educational background is in health care management, and her specialties include EKG, phlebotomy and medical assistance with clinical education. Her roles in these fields have provided her with experience and insight to help her teach in a classroom setting. Teaching is Nicole’s passion, and she enjoys seeing her students grow both personally and professionally.

began her time at Hartford Job Corps Center as a CTT substitute instructor and is now a Career Transition Readiness instructor. Her educational background is in psychology and criminology, and she has extensive experience working with Hartford-area youth. Kaitlin is currently a full-time student at Central Connecticut State University working toward her bachelor’s degree in criminology. She enjoys building meaningful relationships with her students and providing them with the tools they need to be successful in life after graduation.

is a Math instructor at Hartford Job Corps Center. She graduated with a master’s degree in curriculum and instruction from the University of Connecticut, and she continues to have a keen interest in math, science and technology. Agata is passionate about restorative practices in her classroom, relationship building, mental health and having a holistic approach to student success. Her outside interests include pottery, as well as other arts and crafts, anime and video games.

is Hartford Job Corps Center’s HSE/GED and Math instructor. She started her time with Job Corps nearly 10 years ago as a substitute teacher, while working two part-time positions and attending school full time. She now holds a master’s degree in management and organizational leadership, and most of her career prior to Job Corps was in management positions in libraries and retail environments. Liesia enjoys helping her students achieve their goals to obtain their GED and defeat their fears of math, all while creating an engaging and meaningful experience at the Hartford Job Corps Center.

is the Literacy instructor at the Hartford Job Corps Center. She has a bachelor’s degree in English and a master’s degree in theater. Previously, Mary taught English and theater in a variety of settings, including high schools and community college. Mary incorporates her love of reading into the classroom by amassing a wide variety of books and genres for students to enjoy. She also institutes a quiet, “free reading” segment during class, when students read a book of their choice. Mary loves working with students and watching them grow and succeed.
